JERRY

Jerry was born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1945, then lived in Moorhead, Minnesota until the age of 13 when his family moved to Anaheim, California in 1958. Jerry's passions in life are racing, fishing, family, and friends. Jerry has four children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He along with his brothers started Brothers 3 Garage in 1967 in Cypress, California. Eventually Jerry bought out his two brothers and is now sole proprietor of Brothers 3 Garage.
Jerry began racing for fun in 1960 at some of Southern California's most famous drag strips; Brotherhood Raceway, Lions Drag Strip, Pomona Raceway and Carlsbad Raceway.
Jerry started Purple Reign Racing in 1994, named for Jerry's favorite NFL team the Minnesota Vikings. Jerry started the team with one car, his purple 1979 Chevrolet Camaro, which runs 9.78 seconds in the quarter mile at 139 MPH. Since then with Jerry's good nature and willingness to help all racers, the team has grown to 12 cars and 10 drivers.
Jerry has a firm belief in supporting the communities he works and lives in. He participates in programs at schools, organizations such as the Boy Scouts of America and more. He also sponsors prizes at local car shows and much more. He works together with local high schools to help educate future mechanics, by having them do internships at his shop.

CONNIE

"Crazy Connie" has lived her entire life in Orange County, California. Born in 1957 to a large family she is no stranger to competition.
She raised and trained horses for competition in pole bending and barrel racing. Connie also held the Orange County woman's Billiard Championship for 1983, 84, and 85. Connie's competitive spirit is shared with her brother Chris "Hurricane" who is also a world champion Jet Ski rider competing in events worldwide.
Connie's drag racing career started when she was racing an early model Chevy El Camino. She enjoyed a modicum of success and started building a passion for racing, till the one day she raced her husband Jerry and lost by not a small margin. She got out of her car, threw down her helmet, and told Jerry that she was not racing again until he built her a car that could keep up with his. From that point on Connie has had an ever-increasing Need For Speed. The crowds that gather to watch Crazy Connie, grow on a regular basis as her title of the Queen of Irwindale Speedway is challenged regularly and she continues to wow the crowds with her Monster Wheelies and constant wins.

RICK

Rick "Tranny-Man" Frye has had a LOVE for cars his whole life. His reputation for racing is long standing, starting from the early 1970's at Orange County Raceway with his brothers Larry, Jay & Tim. His love of cars continued into 1980 with the opening of his own shop, Chino Hills Transmission, with his sons working along side him. His list of race cars and boats (too many to count), has always been a passion he shares along with his wife JoAnn, children and grandchildren.
These days you can catch Rick cruising in his 1955 Chevy Bel Air, or burning rubber at Irwindale in his 1965 Pontiac GTO and his 1937 Fiat Topolino. Still in the works are his big block blown injected 1955 Chevy Bel Air and his 1933 Willys.
